Healthy hair starts one layer down
Most hair problems are scalp problems wearing a disguise. Our Day Scalp Treatment deep-cleanses, rebalances oil and calms irritation: the head-spa hour your hair has been asking for, in Uluwatu and Ubud.
Heat and humidity mean more sweat and more product. Hard water leaves mineral residue that never fully rinses. Add sunscreen, salt and dust from the road, and the scalp ends up congested, which shows up as itchiness, flaking, oiliness by lunchtime, and hair that will not grow past a certain length.
We clear the build-up first, using advanced filtered water so we are not adding minerals back in while we work. Then we treat the scalp itself: balancing oil, soothing irritation, and massaging to boost circulation at the follicle. A hair and scalp tonic goes on at the end where the scalp needs settling rather than just cleaning.
A fresh start for your scalp. The treatment is designed to remove build-up oil, flaky scalp, dandruff and everyday impurities: the things that quietly undo everything you are doing to the lengths. Bali's humidity, sunscreen, salt and dust all settle at the roots, and no amount of conditioner further down makes up for it.
A long massage, warm filtered water, and no one asking you anything. Plenty of guests book it purely for that, which is a perfectly good reason.
Book on WhatsApp
Every day, 08:00 to 20:00. Each salon has its own WhatsApp, so you're talking to the room you're walking into.
Our first home, a short walk from the Bingin cliff path, and the original Day chair.
On the main Labuansait strip, minutes from Padang Padang, our largest studio.
Our newest room, brought north to the rice terraces and the quiet of Peliatan.
It depends which of the three you book, so we quote on WhatsApp. Message us with what's bothering you and we'll tell you which treatment you actually need, which is sometimes the shorter one.
It improves the conditions hair grows in (circulation, oil balance and follicle health), which supports regrowth. It isn't a medical treatment, and we won't tell you it is. For sustained loss, see a doctor as well.
This one focuses on the scalp and runs about an hour. The Signature is ninety minutes and covers both the scalp and the lengths, with a nourishing mask worked through and a blow-dry to finish.
Yes, and it's a good pairing. A clean, calm scalp gets better results from everything that follows.
For build-up, flaking and an irritated scalp, yes. If it's persistent and medical rather than environmental, a doctor should look at it too, and we'll say so rather than book you in repeatedly.
Heat and sweat put the scalp into overdrive, and everything you put on to survive the day, sunscreen, salt water, dry shampoo, stays on the skin. Oily at the roots and itchy at the same time is normally that build-up, not a scalp that needs stripping harder. Day Scalp Treatment is aimed at the scalp itself. If the lengths are dry too, the Signature Day Hair & Scalp Treatment covers both in one sitting.
